Interlogix TruVision DDNS Updates
As many of you know, Interlogix has been experiencing problems with their ezDDNS service since they updated the server last week. So that you can stay up to date, we will be updating this post as we receive updates. If you are a Group One customer experiencing connectivity issues and would like trouble shooting help, give us a call with the host name and we will check to see if it is a database issue or a cell DNS issue. If you are not a Group One customer please give Interlogix a call at 855.286.8889 for technical support or a dealer referral.
Please see below for updates on the DDNS server transition:
July 25, 2018
9:41 – The most recent update from Interlogix is below.
July 23, 2018
3:48 PM – I have run across an issue with an old iPad that can’t update past v.9.5.3. It is only allowing me to view one camera on each recorder. Interlogix is now aware of this and is looking into it. I haven’t had issues with devices with current firware.
8:30 AM – Here is the latest announcement from Interlogix regarding the DDNS server transition. While the published version of the app is still having issues with T-Mobile, the beta version is still working with T-Mobile so once that becomes published it should be all up and running again. If you are still having any issues, please don’t assume it is a problem with the server or the app. Group One customers can give us a call because most issues being found now are solvable and are separate from the server transition. Thanks so much for your patience with this matter.

10:11 AM – Continuing to beta test new versions, the latest version allowed me to access recorders using DDNS over the T-Mobile cellular network so I think we are getting close to closing out the last of the issues.

1:27 PM – For anyone using the Android app who is having trouble with the app crashing, it may be a known bug in 3.0.1. If there is a device stored in your app that has an incorrect DDNS host name it will cause the app to crash. Get into the app and delete the site with the incorrect host name and it should stabilize the app. Let me know if you want to discuss it further, thanks.
The current iOS app is having difficulty with push notifications but it is being addressed in the current beta version of the app.
New versions of both Android and iOS apps are in beta testing and should be released shortly.

8:56 AM – I just received the newest beta version of the app that they say fixes a couple bugs. This is the second version in two days so hopefully we are getting close to a final version.
8:01 AM – Below is the most recent update from Interlogix.
July 12, 2018
10:17 AM – Interlogix is currently beta testing an update to the app to hopefully fix the remaining issues. I am beta testing the iOS version now and am not experiencing any issues either via WiFi or Cellular on Verizon. I should be testing on T-Mobile tomorrow. Getting closer…
8:37 AM – Please see the latest update from Interlogix.
July 11, 2018
8:34 AM – Here is the latest update from Interlogix.
July 10, 2018
7:53 AM – One anomaly that we have seen in the field is Android devices showing an error ‘Port Cannot be Empty’ when adding devices to TVRMobile 3.0. This appears to be fixed by updating the TVN10 to the latest firmware.
Please note the most recent update from Interlogix. If you are continuing to experience connectivity issues, please give us a call or contact Interlogix Technical Support (www.interlogix.com/support).

July 2, 2018
9:07 AM – Cellular is still not connecting, however Interlogix has been working all weekend and we expect an update today.
June 30, 2018
5:50 PM – Interlogix sent out another notice today. The cell connectivity appears to still not be working but they are testing and hope to have another update on Monday. I will check again tomorrow for any changes.
June 29, 2018
10:06 AM – Checked this morning and the cell connection is still not working and the WiFi/PC Connections are pretty solid. I am still looking for more feedback regarding anyone who might be logging on via WiFi provided by an Apple AirPort Express router. Let us know if you are in that situation and can run some tests, thanks.

3:05 PM – Here’s the latest update from Interlogix.
9:45 AM – I am told we should have an update from Interlogix early this afternoon. I will post it here as soon as we have it.
7:56 AM – Still having issues with cellular connections. Hopefully we will get an update from Interlogix today. Most DDNS translations on Wi-Fi should be working now.
June 27, 2018
4:10 PM – So far no change. I have been told to expect an update from Interlogix anytime and am continuing to monitor the issue. One thing that came up is a possible issue with Wi-Fi through an AirPort Express but I don’t know if that is an actual issue or something different. If you have an AirPort Express that you are logged into for Wi-Fi and can test your connectivity I would like to hear the results, give us a call.
7:58 AM – I have tested connectivity this morning and there are still issues with cellular connectivity, but Wi-Fi connections seem to be working well. Speaking with someone from Interlogix, I am expecting some sort of update today.
June 26, 2018
10:37 AM – It looks like being able to connect via Verizon on an iPhone is actually something that happens when the Wi-Fi has been engaged and the phone holds onto that DNS info when it goes back to cellular. Once connected to Wi-Fi, the connectivity will hold for a while on cell.
9:00 AM – Still able to connect with iPhone over Verizon or WiFi, tested with 2 dealers with Android and they are still having issues with cellular connections but are connecting fine with Wi-Fi.
June 25, 2018
3:00 PM – Progressing with fixing the database issues and some cell connections are starting to come back online. I am able to connect with an iPhone on both cellular (Verizon) and Wi-Fi.
June 22, 2018
Interlogix is working to fix the corrupt database so that all host names will be translating to the current IP address. They are still having issues with connecting to some sites and with connecting via cellular in general.
